Like the Scrapbook desk accessory which came on the system disk you received with your Macintosh, SmartScrap is used to store selections of pictures and text (and sometimes other types of selections as well). With SmartScrap, you can have as many scrapbook files as you need - you can even keep them on different disks and in different folders. You can easily open scrapbook files full of clip art without having to copy these scrapbooks to your system disk or rename them. You can even print part or all of a scrapbook on your ImageWriter¿ or LaserWriter¿. The Clipper is a tool for trimming and scaling pictures and for filtering unwanted format types from items on the clipboard. Normally, when you paste items from the clipboard, they are pasted exactly the same way they were copied or cut. This is not always what you want. Sometimes the item you cut is too big for the space where you want to paste. Sometimes the item you cut has text and pictures and other extraneous formats mixed together that cause funny results when you paste the item. The Clipper gives you a way to modify the contents of the clipboard before pasting them into a window. It can trim or scale clipboard pictures to the exact dimensions you need for the document you are creating.

SmartScrap & The Clipper II is recommended for any Macintosh Plus, Macintosh SE, or Macintosh II.
